Precision Manufacturing

At Overman International, our development process reflects over 40 years of pioneering innovation in furniture manufacturing—centered on the exclusive use of molded Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) frames we perfected since 1978—by transforming raw EPS granules through precision steam molding, minimal wood integration, specialized foam, in-house CAD-designed covers, and expert upholstery, all tightly controlled in our vertically integrated facility, followed by rigorous quality inspections, final assembly, and efficient high-volume packaging to deliver exceptionally strong, comfortable, and stylish furniture optimized for drop-shipping worldwide.

Material Molding

The process begins with granules that are pre-expanded to a precise density and stored until needed. They are then fed into specialized presses, where a controlled recipe of steam and heat forms them into strong, lightweight frames.

A small amount of wood is fused directly into the frames during molding. This creates secure points for stapling upholstery and attaching legs or bases later in production.

Cover Design and Production

Frames move into the upholstery area, where specialized foam is precisely glued on using a specialized bonding process. This step adds comfort and defines the final shape of each piece.

Our in-house team designs covers tailored specifically to fit the unique one-piece frames. Fabric is cut using advanced CAD systems and sewn on-site in our cut-and-sew department for perfect accuracy and consistency.

Upholstering, Inspection, & Shipping

Skilled upholsterers carefully apply the covers to the frames, checking fit and finish at every step to ensure outstanding results.

Every piece undergoes thorough inspection against strict quality standards. During this stage, all additional components—such as legs, bases, and cushions—are verified and installed.

Finished furniture is automatically labeled and cartoned in our high-volume shipping area. The entire system is optimized for efficient drop shipping directly to retailers and customers worldwide.

Our furniture is made from Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) – Overman is one of the only furniture manufacturers in the world to use this innovative process to produce furniture frames. In 1978 Overman pioneered the process which, over 40 years has evolved to what you see today.

Painted Components

Overman creates beautiful, long-lasting kitchen cabinet components with our unique equipment. The water-based primer and UV top coat used for all finishes will keep your cabinet components looking like new for years to come. This environmentally friendly process provides cost-effective finishing with the ability to meet any volume requirements.

With different styles and colors to choose from, that distinctive style you’ve been searching for is just a few clicks away.

Cabinets Components

Getting the proper amount of primer and paint onto our cabinet components is one of the ways we ensure you have beautiful cabinets for years to come. Our cabinet components take several trips through the machine, giving them two coats of primer and one coat of paint.

After they’re primed, painted, and dried, employees load the cabinet pieces onto a palette, where they are then boxed and shipped out to our customers.
